Dutch Government Plans to Impose Salary Cap on Expat Tax Benefit

The government is planning to allow only expatriates earning less than 216,000 euros ($227,000) a year in 2022 to apply for a benefit that exempts 30% of an expat’s salary from income tax for five years, according to Spring Memorandum published by Dutch Finance Ministry.
