Iowa-based furniture maker Flexsteel Industries Inc. will pay $1.275 million to resolve a lawsuit by employees who say they were laid off during the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic without proper notice or severance, a federal court filing shows.
The deal, announced Feb. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, is expected to benefit about 300 former employees at Flexsteel’s manufacturing centers in Dubuque, Iowa, and Starkville, Miss.
